The Halton Mosque was built in the early 90′s and is the only one in the city of Burlington. As a result of a growing community the structure can no longer accommodate our needs.
We need a new Islamic Community centre that will accommodate our growing community and provide us with an Islamic School for our future generations. A place for Prayer, Learning and Recreation.
We are currently evaluating the following two options for our new Islamic Centre.
Option 1: Purchase a piece of land in Alton Village (near Dundas and Appleby) to build our new Islamic Centre on it.
Option 2: Purchase an existing facility within Burlington to convert into our new Islamic Centre.
A decision will InshAllah be made in early 2012.
